Meet Dori

Dori’s combination of outstanding musicianship and years of studio work have established him as a sought-after composer, producer and arranger in the film, television and game industry. And years of performing with top musicians in the Los Angeles jazz scene have firmly established Dori as a versatile guitarist specializing in jazz and Brazilian music.

Dori’s diverse and award-winning portfolio features a wide range of projects including working with legendary songwriter Mike Stoller, Oscar-winning director Charles Jarot, composing cross-cultural music for theater and television, and producing orchestral soundtracks for major game titles featuring orchestras based in Hollywood, Seattle and various European cities.

The son of award-winning composer Moni Amarilio, Dori was born into music. He began studying guitar at age 7, playing professionally at 12, composing music at 14 and acting as musical director by 17. Dori studied composition at Israel’s Rimon School of Music (closely affiliated with Berklee), the Hollywood Musician’s Institute and the UCLA film scoring program.

Dori landed in Los Angeles shortly after a three-month tour as musical director of Jewish folkloric music that played every major city in South America. He quickly established himself as an in-demand guitarist in the Los Angeles jazz scene, while forging a successful career as a composer, scorer, mixer and producer.

Composing music for picture is Dori’s primary passion. His scores benefit from his diverse musical background, coupled with his expertise as a music producer. Dori is no stranger to deadlines and delivers on time and on budget.
